Cindy Chan
| | University of IllinoisCindy Chan is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Illinois. Her research project aims to improve the photosynthetic capacity for energycane and Miscanthus giganteus by engineering the photosynthetic pathway of these plants. For ROGUE, she will use her expertise in molecular physiology and imaging techniques to engineer the primary genes involved pathways known to improve photosynthesis into energycane, and subsequently into Miscanthus. Cindy received her bachelor's degree in biotechnology from the University Malaysia Sabah and received her master's degree in forensic science from the University of Cordoba, Instituto de Ciencias de Sade Egas Moniz, and University of Lincoln. Cindy went on to earn her doctorate in plant sciences from the University of Cambridge. Her work is published in Plant and Cell Physiology.
