Brian Baldwin
| | Mississippi State UniversityBrian Baldwin is a Professor of Plant Sciences and Genetics at Mississippi State University (MSU). A significant portion of his research focuses on bioenergy crops—including Miscanthus, switchgrass, and Saccharum—and screening for cold hardiness. For the ROGUE project, he will establish, monitor and collect data from Miscanthus field trials at MSU. He will also help select high-performance genotypes. Brian received his bachelor’s degree from Bates College, his master’s from New Mexico State University, and his doctorate from New Mexico State University in plant genetic improvement. Previously, Brian acted as Assistant Dean of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at MSU. His work has been published in many journals, including GCB Bioenergy, Molecular Ecology, and BioEnergy Research.
