Fredy Altpeter
| | University of FloridaFredy Altpeter is a professor at the University of Florida where he coordinates a research program for the agronomy department. Fredy's research integrates plant breeding, biotechnology and translational genomics for genetic improvement of sugarcane and other crops. For ROGUE, he is leading the energycane transformations and managing the energycane field trials. He earned his bachelor's degree and doctorate at the University of Hogenheim in Germany. Fredy received a distinguished service award from the Society for In Vitro Biology. His work is published in many peer-reviewed journals, including Nature, Biotechnology and Plant Biotechnology.
