Karolina Sobańska

Karolina Sobańska is a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Plant Genetics, Polish Academy of Sciences (IPG PAS) and a visiting scholar at the University of Illinois. Her research focuses on the preparation and evaluation of genetic constructions for plant transformation, development of genetic transformation methods of plants for bioenergy. For ROGUE, Karolina will be focusing on the development of the method of genetic transformation of energy plants. She earned a bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland. She went on to earn her doctorate from the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry, Polish Academy of Sciences in Poznań, Poland. Her work has been published in Biomass and Bioenergy.
